Once we receive your email requesting to get on the schedule, we will contact you back answering any questions and letting you know we have added you to the staff list. No experience is necessary for this job and many first timers fall in love with the job.  

  1. Valid State (any state) Issued ID *may NOT be a photo copy and may NOT be expired
  2. Black pants WITH A BELT - NO SHORTS - NO jeans, athletic pants.  White or black undershirt.
  3. Tattoos covered
  4. Closed toed shoes in a neutral color - BLACK is best, white ok
  5. Good attitude and LOTS of energy.

Walking Beer/Water Vendor Job Details:

Arrive at Nationwide Arena and park in marked garage on map

below - try not to prepay, as by the time you return in the evening, the parking attendants are gone and the gates are up.  Bus will be on the backside of Nationwide Arena and infront of Tim Horton's.
The bus will meet you at the corner of W. Nationwide Blvd and John H McConnell Blvd at the large arch.

As a walking vendor, you will carry a tub of beverages throughout the stands selling to the fans as they enjoy the game or concerts. At the Cleveland Indians games, our vendors sell products such as beer, water, soda. peanuts, and hot dogs. This is a great opportunity to make money while being a part of an awesome environment.  

If you are hard working, self-motivated, and have a great personality, then this is the perfect job for you! You must be able to carry 30 pounds and walk up and down stadium stairs for a minimum of 3 hours.

You will be paid commission in cash at the event and you will keep the cash tips that you make.


If you are not riding the bus from Columbus, but instead are meeting at Progressive Field, you will meet the EMS employees from the bus at the employee entrance at the corner of Ontario and Carnegie at the "Report Times" listed above.  

There is a red door where you all will enter, please wait for the EMS manager from the bus to escort you inside as they will have to pick up credentials. Please do not be alarmed if the bus is a little later than the scheduled report time, you do not need to call me or the on-site manager for the day, just be patient until they arrive.

Check-In Times:

  1. Have fun with the job. Yes, fun and job in the same sentence?
  2. No alcohol or illegal drugs are to be consumed at or brought to any job.
  3. If you are terminated for theft or breach of any law you will be reported to local authorities.
  4. All shortages will be removed from your commission or your flat rate. 
  5. Absolutely no smoking once inside or in view of any and all stadiums/arenas you will work.
  6. You will need to follow all policies/laws when in EMS provided transportation or lodging. 
  7. Proper uniform needs to be worn at all times. Correct color and style of pant, closed toe shoe, shirt tucked in. 
  8. No selling of any product on the concourse in front of Concession Stands (unless told to do so)
  9. Never leave your tub unattended and never ever drag your tub on the ground.
  10. If vending, verify product count with room staff prior to leaving vending location.
  11. Must have a button, price sticker or menu identifying price to customers.
  12. Report spillage of ice or product to supervisor or usher immediately.
  13. Act professional and courteous to each person you come into contact with. Respect yourself and everyone.
  14. Be honest at all times. If you are not, it will catch up with you.
  15. Bring State ID with you to each event.
  16. Never bring food or beverage into the restrooms. After using restroom wash and dry your hands.
  17. Cell phone use is prohibited while working.
  1. Beer sellers MUST NOT sell alcohol to anyone less than 21 years of age.  NEVER EVER!!
  2. Beer sellers MUST ID EVERYONE who appears under 30 every sale every time.
  3. Beer sellers MUST NOT accept any fake, expired, or mutilated ID’s.
  4. Beer sellers MUST NOT sell alcohol to anyone who might pass off to a person < 21.
  5. Beer sellers MUST stop a pass off to a minor if they suspect it.
  6. Beer sellers MUST NOT sell alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be intoxicated.
  7. Beer sellers MUST be 21 years of age to sell alcohol unless local law requires older.
  8. Beer sellers MUST limit the sale of alcohol to 2 beer per ID.
  9. If the customer already has a beer in their possession you may not sell to them until it is finished. 
  10. Beer sellers MUST NOT sell after the cut-off. You will be made aware of the cut-off.

Check-in location in Columbus:

​You are required to wear clean BLACK pants or shorts. NO Jeans, NO wind pants, NO athletic short, NO denim shorts.  You may only wear work-pant type material like Dickies .  You must wear a belt if your pants do not fit well.  You will need to wear comfortable closed toe shoes such as tennis shoes or a work shoe in a black or white color.  We will provide you with a uniform shirt and hat. You may wear a black or white long-sleeved undershirt.  Please make sure you are clean and  properly groomed and tattoos are covered. 

General Policies:

Check-in location in Cleveland if Reporting to Progressive Field:

EMS will provide a daily round-trip bus from Columbus, OH to the Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH free of charge.

Parking at Progressive Field is limited since the majority of the EMS employees will be arriving on the chartered bus.  

You will be paid commission in cash at the event and you will keep your cash tips.  Commission rate will be 10% of net sales.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time as we cannot hold the bus for folks who are late to ensure we arrive at the stadium on time.
